About Cpt Skully
I started working with my dad from a young age, building & repairs on the farm, to building cabins for the neighbors. My father was an electrician by trade, but he could build or fix just about anything. He taught me the way things were done back in the day, and up in the mountains, and I ventured on to work for other masters of their trades under different flags to learn as much as I have today. I carry that knowledge with me and then some. I’ve been a craftsman my whole life, from home maintenance to all things remodeling. I learned important lessons and wisdom while working with my father. All who worked for him were respectfully dubbed a “Skully,” now I carry on his legacy as Cpt of the Skullies. And as he used to say:
“Keep it fair & make it square.”

Workmanship Guarantee
All my work is guaranteed with in reason. If something fails because I did something wrong I will always fix it, which is a rarity. If it is due to manufacturing of materials this is not under my guarantee. If it is due to usual wear and tear, or customers mistake I am not responsible. But I am always working to retain my customers and keep them happy, depending on the situation I offer discounts.

Years in the Colorado Springs Area
I came to visit Colorado Springs around 8 years ago and decided to stay. I fell in love with the city and the people and have made quality connections while here. If I come across a job I am not interested in doing, I usually know someone who is qualified.

Years of Experience
My official Experience began when I started my own handyman service at 18, even though I was learning and working before this. Over the years I have continued to work my own jobs as a handyman/craftsman and I have also worked different trades for larger companies and general contractors. I’ve been in remodeling and new construction my whole life. Although the bulk of my experience has been in residential, I do have some commercial experience as well.
Area of Expertise
Roofing/Home Inspection
Recent storm damage? I handle insurance claims and all storm damage from the ground to the roof. Make sure you have someone who can help you navigate the insurance process and make sure you are getting the coverage you deserve. If you have other concerns about your home unrelated to storm damage, it may be time for an overall home inspection. Make sure your are not neglecting any small repairs that have the potential to become expensive projects in the future.
Painting & Wall Repairs
Time for a home make over? From sprayer to brush, I have the skills you need to get those sharp clean lines and quality finish. No spill, no mess left, guaranteed. Looking for something custom and decorative? What ever you have in mind I can bring your vision to life. I also do murals. Simple or complex drywall repairs, floating, and matching texture are all in my wheel house.
Carpentry & Wood Work
I am an artist and craftsman. If you need something custom built, repaired, carved, I can match anything. Ornate designs are a joy for me. I don’t have a whole work shop at the moment to do any custom cabinetry or larger carpentry jobs like this. I do have all the tools for small and large jobs on site.
Tile Setter
I stick to small jobs and repairs, black splashes, showers, small floor sections, decorative jobs. If it is a huge living room section I know a guy who loves to do large projects, I let him have at it.
Doors & Windows
Upgrading your doors and windows can have a large impact on energy savings for your home. From weather proofing, repair to install, I’ve done it all. I’ve worked on custom builds for old historic homes to brand new installs. If you’re doors and windows just need an adjustment I can make it happen.
Electrical & Plumbing
Under masters of their trade I’ve completed many permitted jobs large and small and passed all inspections. For now I stick to repairs that do not require licensing or permits, but if you have jobs that need a license & permit, I know some gentlemen who are very good at what they do. If you just need some consultation, I’m an open book.
